    Although its close proximity to the Cabrillo Monument would lead one to believe this BES is easily visible, it actually isn't due to being obscured by brush and hillside. My 6'3" tall friend could only make out the faintest corner and only by standing on the low wall around the monument.

    I was a roommate of Cara's in college. She was awesome. We used to go running together on the beach in Isla Vista. Cara and I used to talk about a lot of things and frankly one of them was the death penalty. She told me 'even if it was someone I loved or me I would not want the person killed. I would want them to spend the rest of their life in prison'... I agreed with her. Cara you at least got that wish. He will rot in prison. I hope I meet you again one day and that the life I have lived is worthy of you. I miss your smile and that wonderful laugh. Blessed be my friend.
