    Actually it's not named the co-operative center. The building is the Student Center built in 1975 and going through a re-muddle currently. It will be finished in Fall of 2007 and you just won't know the place and thats very sad.

    Lived there for about a year and loved it. Not too far inland, so you still get the nice San Diego climate, but not too close to the coast as to pay outrageous housing costs, relatively. As the other poster said, low crime, housing is reasonable, and overall very ncie.
